Workers are responsible for the safe and efficient handling, cutting, and shaping of the steel using manual and powered tools, such as rebar cutters and benders, to precisely match the exact specifications laid out in the drawings. A core responsibility is meticulously assembling, positioning, and securing the intricate steel cages and networks within the formwork. This requires expert knowledge in using various tying methods, such as wire tying, to ensure the rebar is correctly spaced, supported, and securely fastened according to engineering standards before the concrete is poured. Strict adherence to international safety standards and rigorous quality control procedures is paramount, particularly when working at heights, operating machinery, or handling heavy loads.
