Transfer Iqama

Initial Eligibility Assessment and Documentation

The process begins with a crucial review of your current standing and the legitimacy of the new employment offer. Our team meticulously examines your existing contract conditions, ensures you have legally fulfilled any notice periods required by Saudi Labour Law, and verifies the legal status of your new sponsoring company. We also verify that all necessary initial documents—your valid passport, current Iqama copy, and the signed new offer letter—are accurate and ready for submission. This foundational step is critical to prevent any procedural rejections later on.

New Employer Request Submission and Initiation

Once eligibility is confirmed, your new employer (sponsor) initiates the transfer process by submitting a formal request via the official government platforms, such as Qiwa or Mudad. This request is officially lodged and directed towards your current employer for their review and approval. We work closely with the new sponsor to ensure the submission is completed flawlessly, inputting accurate data that aligns with the government’s digital records to avoid errors that could stall the process.

Current Sponsor Approval and Financial Clearance

Upon receiving the official request, your current sponsor is granted a specific time frame to either approve or reject the transfer. Their timely consent is essential for forward movement. If the current sponsor fails to meet the legal requirements for withholding approval, we provide expert advice to navigate potential disputes. During this phase, it is also crucial that all financial and legal obligations, including the employee’s final settlement and outstanding dues, are completely resolved and cleared with the current company.

Government Fee Payment and Final Ministry Approval

With consent secured from both the current and new employers, the official governmental transfer fees (Iqama Transfer Fees) must be promptly paid. Following fee payment, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) processes the request and issues the final approval. This marks the moment your sponsorship details are officially transferred in the central government database to your new employer. We closely monitor this payment and approval stage to ensure there are no delays.

New Iqama Card Issuance and Handover

Following the final approval from the Ministry, your new Iqama card is authorized for printing. This new card officially lists your new sponsor’s name and updated professional details. Our concluding responsibility is to ensure that the card is physically processed and delivered to you as quickly as possible, validating your legal residency and officially beginning your new professional chapter in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
